At the core of many workplace challenges and conflicts is the breakdown of communication. When employees are expending energy to reactively address these conflicts, time and resources are taken away from the core mission of serving the populations we serve. This workshop positions ethical communication as a responsibility of all individuals working in helping professions. It specifically focuses on ethical communication to emphasize the effects that unethical and destructive communication can have on colleagues and entire organizations. It also highlights the necessity of holding oneself accountable for the impacts our communication behaviors have on others.
