Unlocking the Power of Storytelling in Human Services
When: Feb. 28th; 10 – 11am
Location: Zoom
Cost: FREE!
Storytelling is powerful because it taps into universal human emotions, values, and experiences, creating deep connections and inspiring action. Human service programs use stories in numerous ways, but in order to ensure that messages are clear and strong, they must lead with values, confront stereotypes and reflect the diverse experiences of aging. This training will outline the components of a well-framed story arc for human services and aging, describe communication strategies for constructive storytelling, and provide examples of stories often told in human service programs.
